Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant world of street art as Casuarina Square proudly presents Urban Art Jam, in collaboration with the renowned Darwin Street Art Festival. From May 20th to June 8th, be captivated by the dynamic energy as live artists breathe life into our pop-up wall in The Quarter.

Featured Artists:

• Carla Russo: Darwin born and practicing artist, Carla Russo is the creative director of The Artful Room, offering weekly art workshops for children and adults. Working primarily with acrylic paint, Carla’s vibrant and colourful artworks aim to evoke positive emotions and draw attention to the beauty in our surroundings. Her art serves as vibrant visual celebrations of life.
• CHEN (Charlotte Chen): A 19-year-old Chinese artist born in Darwin, currently studying Animation Design at RMIT in Melbourne. Chen enjoys drawing imaginary monsters and incorporates them into her illustrations. A manga/comic fan, Chen is working on a passion project called ‘Ghellios’ on Webtoons. Excited to participate in the 2024 Darwin Art Festival, Chen looks forward to sharing her unique perspective with fellow artists and audiences alike.
• Cordial Draws (Bethany): An emerging artist from Darwin, Bethany has been drawing for as long as she can remember. Using various mediums from digital art to watercolours, she tells stories about characters engaging in everyday activities. Bethany’s recent works include poster designs for Big Dog Salad, a local Darwin theatre company, and a Casuarina Library mural completed in collaboration with other Darwin artists.
