ABC of the NT Playground Opens 14 November 2026

We took the Northern Territory and turned it into an alphabet.

ABC of the NT is House of Darwin’s way of introducing kids to the place we call home. 26 letters inspired by the animals, landscapes, language, characters and everyday icons that make the Territory unlike anywhere else.

For the Casuarina Square playground, we’re taking that alphabet off the page and bringing it to life through play. The things kids see outside from crocs and buffalo to bush, water and wildlife become things they can climb on, crawl through, discover and learn from.

It’s about bringing the Territory outdoors, indoors, creating a playground that feels unmistakably local while giving families a free, air-conditioned place to play year-round.

A little piece of the Territory outside, brought inside for the next generation of Territory kids.‌
